Max Elman and Christopher Hermelin met in radio class 5 years ago.
From the beginning, Max leaned back in his chair with his feet up on the table, like a badass, and Christopher wore giant headphones and listened to Andrew W.K., like an idiot. It only took five years of friendship and four years of living together before they decided, over pizza and beer in San Francisco, to team up (like superheroes) and use their creative powers for good.
A Story and a Picture isn’t a unique idea, but Max’s vivid photography and Christopher’s flimsy grasp on reality is what makes the concept fresh and new. One picture deserves exactly one thousand words, and that’s what’s posted.
